Porch Fly Candles July 13 2016 1 Comment

It’s no secret that some of the greatest things that happen are those that are unplanned and spontaneous. This same idea holds especially true for our collection of candles.

Candles were never something we ever planned on making until one night we came across a whiskey-scented candle that we fell in love with. Maybe it was the way the smell brought back thoughts of good times spent with friends over a glass of a favorite whiskey or maybe it was the whiskey currently in our glass at the time that made it seem like a great idea. Either way, we decided to give it a try.

We thought we'd start with a whiskey-scented candle and offer it just as a special accessory item. And, staying true to our nature, we couldn’t be responsible for making a half-assed candle. If we were going to do this, we were absolutely going to do it right. There’s no reason to make something that you don’t believe in or stand behind.

That’s the main reason we put so much time and research into finding the highest quality materials. Everything from the essential oils to the packaging to the wooden wicks. We wanted our candles to be made of 100% natural ingredients and also have a fragrant but not overpowering scent to them. Day after day of testing different wicks, fragrances, packaging, even the way they look in your home when they burn, and finally we found the perfect combination of ingredients for the Porch Fly Candles.

All of our candles are vegan, made from 100% natural soy wax, and scented with pure essential oils. The wood wick we use doesn’t produce that black soot you get with a lot of other candles either. And because we use a wider wood wick you get an even melting of the wax so nothing goes to waste. We’re just thoughtful like that.

The best part is our candles burn for up to 55 hours, almost 15 hours longer than your average candle. So grab a whiskey, invite some friends over, and make them jealous of how awesome your house smells.

We currently offer the following candles:

City of OaksMorning PorchAfternoon PorchCarolina GardensAppalachian BloomWhiskey RootCaribbean Teakwood, and Leather & Fig

But stay on the lookout because new scents could be dropping any day...
